post production

before we could start edditing the footage, we needed to check out our footage from the final cut server. we did this by pressing the check out button and then changing the setting to Edit proxy after which it will take sometime to upload the information. When you have done all you wanted to, and have finished editing you need to remember to proof the footage and check it back into the Final Cut Server.

The purpose of continuity editing is to make the film smooth and to make sure it runs logically. We did this by filming the whole sequence from begging to end at each different angle from the story boards. We had to be very carefull to make sure the continuity would match. This ment that every time we filmed the sequence it had to be exactly the same. In order to ensure that it was all the same we stuck down markers on the ground so that our actors stood in the exact same place in every shot, we also kept note of hair flicking, hands in pockets ect. the story board was extreimly helpfull in helping us to vairy our shots
