Introduction to Video cameras

In order to set up the camera on the tripod the first step is getting the tripod ready:
unfold the legs set the legs to the hight u want it on. slide on the camera( remembering to push down the button and clip it in. stet the air bubble to make sure it ballenced.
bennefits to th tripod are that  it keeps the shot steady and ballenced, but some would say that using hand helled cameras are more personal and make you feel liike you are in the same place  that the action is taking place.

camera opperations and functions;

Timecode-
the number at the top right hand corner indicating the amount ( in time) that you have filmed.

White balencing-
 in AYou  take a white balence by pressing the white balence button and filming something white in the area you are filming in ( a person holding a peice of papper ) this helps balance out the rest of the colours that you are filming. if you move somewhere else then the process needs to be repeated and mark it as B.

Aperture-
exposure

after you have set up your camera and made sure that your camera opperations are all in order then you can start thinking about your camera shots.There are about 14 different shot types; Extreem wide shot, verry wide shot, wide shot, mid shot, medium close up, close up, extreem close up, cut away,  cut in, two shot, over the shoulder shot, noddy shot, point of view shot and a weather shot.
the rule of thirds is a crutial idea to keep in mind. there is a certain way in which your eyes read pictures and you should always insure that the person intended to have a main part is always in the crutial focuss points.
 when filming you need to make sure your condinuity is the same. even a slight movement in the hair from one shot  to anouther can ruin the effect of the film, markers on the floor and remembering everything in exact detail
